Dates: February 1-2 2025

What to expect: The Sith Taker Open is a Premier Level 2-day x-wing event attracting some of the best pilots in Europe and the rest of the world. Over the last 5 years, we have grown from a regional event with 50 players into a truly international affair regularly attracting over 100 players.

The event format is Standard and will align to the AMG rules reference guide at the time of the event.

Tickets include a Subway buffet lunch on Day 1

Timings:

Day 1

Registration opens 08:30

Registration closes 09:30

Player brief: 09:30

First round 09:45

Day finishes by 19:00


Day 2

Registration 08:30

Cut commences 09:30

Side events start 09:45


Event format

Day 1 will be a swiss tournament, with 5 rounds. All players who achieve a score of 4-1 or better will make the cut.

A play in round for the top cut of 16 will occur if needed following the end of day 1

Day 2 is the top cut, single elimination to decide the champion.

Each round will be played over 75 mins (1hr 15 mins) with the tournament random timer adjustment of +/- 3 mins per round

There will be an organised side event for day 2 for players who do not make the cut - following the fun we had at worlds playing, this will be 'doubles' further rules packs to follow.

Registration

You will automatically register for the event when you buy a ticket. We will be running the event via the Longshanks tournament software and will send out links to register in the run up to the event. .

Prize support

As with previous years we will be providing an awesome trophy for first place, and there will be a mixture of alt-arts, game tokens and other components as prizes. All players will be guaranteed to leave with something and we strive to make prize support reach as far and wide into the player base as we can.
